     Internet Speed Test

Do you know what internet speed test is? Is 75 Mbps Internet speed good?
75 Mbps gives around 8.94 MB / sec. One to two people can share the connection at a time, but more will slow it down.

Is your internet speed slow? Take an internet speed test

The internet speed test will give you a good idea of whether you have the required speed for your household or not. For best results, perform a speed test with a wired connection. If you’re getting speeds below 25 Mbps, you probably have a slow internet connection that can’t keep up with all your online activities.

Is 50 Mbps Internet speed a good deal?

We recommend getting a download speed of at least 50 Mbps if only you and possibly one other person is using the internet. For families, we think the download speed is 100 Mbps or better. The download speed of your internet service is measured in megabits per second. Anything above 25 Mbps is considered high-speed internet.

What Internet Speed Do I Need for Netflix?
Is the internet fast at 40 Mbps?

10-25Mbps: Moderate HD streaming, online gaming and downloading with any number of connected devices. 25-40Mbps: Heavy HD streaming, online gaming and downloading with multiple connected devices. 40 + Mbps: Hardcore streaming, gaming and downloading with a large number of connected devices

Internet speed test classification: What is fast, what is slow and what is good internet speed?

Common fast internet speed rates include:
    100 Mbps
    200 Mbps
    250 Mbps
    300 Mbps
    400 Mbps
    500 Mbps

Researchers Set A New Record For Fastest Internet Speed Ever

The internet has changed most areas of our lives over the last few decades, and the technology is steadily improving: researchers have just set a new record for data transmission speed, recording an astounding 178 terabits per second (Tbps) in August 2020.

The world’s fastest data transmission speed was achieved by a team of University College London engineers who achieved internet speeds one-fifth faster than the previous record.

Working with two companies, Xtera and KDDI Research, a research team led by Dr. Lidia Galdino (UCL Electronic & Electrical Engineering), achieved a data transmission speed of 178 terabits per second (178,000,000 megabits per second) – the speed to be achieved.

That’s about a fifth faster than the previous record, set by a research team in Japan, and roughly twice as fast as the best internet available today.

With a 4K movie of about 15GB in size, you can download around 1,500 movies in one second at a new speed.

This could be more than just a super-fast laboratory experiment too – the technology used to hit a record 178 Tbps can be added to existing fiber-optic pipes with relative ease, according to the scientists behind the project.
