Death of actress Lisa Banes (“Cocktail”, “Gone Girl”) hit by a Scooter Driver in NYC

Lisa Banes hospitalized for ten days, the 65-year-old American actress succumbed to her injuries on Monday, June 14, 2021.

She suffered a head trauma after a two-wheeler burned a red light as she entered to cross the street. New York Police were unable to determine which type of two-wheeler was involved. She succumbed to her injuries. American actress Lisa Banes died ten days after being hit by a two-wheeler in Manhattan, a New York police spokesperson said on Tuesday. The 65-year-old actress was declared dead in hospital on Monday. The accident took place on June 4, near the Lincoln Center cultural center, the spokesperson told AFP.

Lisa Banes was suffering from a head trauma after a two-wheeler ran at a red light as she signed up to cross the street. New York police were unable to immediately identify which type of two-wheeler was involved. An investigation is underway, but no arrests have yet been made, the spokesperson said.

“We are heartbroken by the tragic and senseless death of Lisa. She was a woman of wit, kindness and generosity and dedicated to her work, whether on stage, in front of the cameras, and more with his wife, family and friends, “said his agent, David Williams, quoted by NBC.

Lisa Banes’ wife Kathryn Kranhold tweeted a series of photos in honor of his wife on Tuesday. While his wife was fighting for her survival in the hospital, she had appealed for witnesses in The Daily News, to find the driver of the scooter. Lisa Banes had appeared in numerous films in the cinema, including Gone Girl (2014) and Cocktail (1988) alongside Tom Cruise, as well as in sitcoms (Roseanne) and in the theater, on Broadway.
